Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your Gather & Resonate sound bath experience.

Whether you are joining for the first time or returning for another experience, you may have a few questions.

If anything is not covered below, please get in touch. I will be happy to help.

What is a sound bath?

A Gather & Resonate sound bath is a gentle, immersive experience designed to create space for rest, stillness and reconnection.

As you settle into a comfortable position, you will be surrounded by the sounds and gentle vibrations of crystal singing bowls, chimes and grounding drum rhythms.

There is nothing you need to do or achieve.

Everyone responds differently - you are invited to experience the sound bath in whatever way feels natural and comfortable for you.

How long does a sound bath last?

Most experiences last between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the setting and type of booking.

Your confirmation email will include the exact start and finish times, along with the relevant arrival information.

Please arrive at the time stated in your confirmation email, usually around 10 minutes before the experience begins, so you have time to settle comfortably.

Do I need any previous experience?

Not at all.

Whether this is your first sound bath or you have attended many before, you are warmly welcome.

You do not need to know how to meditate or clear your mind. Simply arrive as you are and give yourself the opportunity to pause and rest.

Is there a minimum age?

Guests must be aged 18 or over.

Anyone under 18 may attend only where this has been agreed with Gather & Resonate in advance and the appropriate parent or guardian consent and supervision arrangements are in place.

What should I wear?

Comfort is key.

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows you to relax fully.

Layers are recommended so you can adjust your clothing according to your own comfort and the temperature of the space.

What should I bring?

What is provided may vary between venues, so please check your booking confirmation carefully.

Depending on the experience, you may be asked to bring:

  • a yoga mat;

  • a blanket;

  • a cushion or pillow;

  • an eye mask; and

  • water.

You are welcome to bring any permitted comfort item that will help you feel settled and supported.

What happens during the experience?

You will be invited to settle into a comfortable position while I gently guide you into the experience.

Most guests choose to lie down, although sitting or another supported position may be possible where the venue and available space allow.

Crystal singing bowls, chimes and grounding drum rhythms are then played around the room, creating changing layers of sound and resonance.

Some guests feel restful or sleepy, while others remain fully awake and quietly aware. There is no right or wrong way to experience a sound bath.

Do I have to lie down or close my eyes?

No.

You are never required to lie down, close your eyes or remain completely still.

You may sit, adjust your position, remove your eye mask, take a break or quietly leave the room whenever you need to.

Please contact me in advance if you would like to discuss seating, positioning or another reasonable adjustment.

Can I fall asleep?

Yes.

Some guests fall asleep or move in and out of sleep during the experience. This is completely natural.

Occasionally, someone may snore. If this becomes disruptive to others, I may gently tap you on the shoulder and invite you to adjust your position before settling again. This will always be handled kindly and discreetly.

What if I need to move or leave the room?

You are welcome to adjust your position at any time.

If you need to leave the room, you may do so quietly. Your comfort and wellbeing remain the priority.

Please let me know as soon as possible if you feel unwell, distressed or require assistance.

Is a sound bath suitable for everyone?

Sound baths may not be suitable for everyone. Certain circumstances may require additional consideration or advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Please read the Health Information carefully before booking. It includes guidance relating to pregnancy, epilepsy, implanted medical devices, hearing conditions, sound sensitivity, recent medical treatment and other health or wellbeing considerations.

Having a particular condition does not necessarily mean that you cannot attend, but you may need professional advice or a reasonable adjustment.

Gather & Resonate cannot provide medical advice or determine whether participation is medically suitable for you.

Can you accommodate accessibility requirements?

Gather & Resonate aims to make experiences as welcoming and accessible as reasonably possible.

Please contact me before booking, or as early as possible before the experience, if you would like to discuss:

  • step-free access;

  • seating or positioning requirements;

  • hearing or sensory needs;

  • sound sensitivity;

  • mobility requirements;

  • support from a companion; or

  • another reasonable adjustment.

Requests will be considered individually, taking account of your needs, the nature of the experience, the venue facilities and relevant safety considerations.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive at the time stated in your booking confirmation, usually around 10 minutes before the experience begins.

This allows time to remove your shoes where required, settle into the space and make yourself comfortable.

Please do not arrive substantially earlier unless the event information asks you to do so, as the space may still be in use or being prepared.

What happens if I am running late?

Late arrivals cannot be admitted once the sound bath has begun.

This protects the calm, privacy and uninterrupted experience of everyone attending. If you believe you may be late, please let me know when it is safe to do so.

However, contacting me does not guarantee that admission will be possible after the experience has started. A refund, credit or transfer will not be available where you cannot be admitted because of late arrival.

Can I attend on my own?

Absolutely.

Many guests attend alone and are warmly welcomed into the same calm and supportive environment.

There is no expectation to socialise or share anything personal during the experience.

What is your cancellation and transfer policy?

Bookings are for a specific date and are non-refundable.

If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your place to another suitable guest at no additional charge, provided you notify Gather & Resonate before the experience so the booking details can be updated.

No refund or credit will be provided for non-attendance, late arrival or leaving the experience early.

Please read the full Terms & Conditions before booking.

Can I use my phone or take photographs?

Gather & Resonate sound baths are intentionally designed to be private and free from digital distraction.

Mobile phones, smart watches and other devices must be silenced and put away before the sound bath begins.

Photography, filming, audio recording, live-streaming and personal content creation are never permitted during the sound bath itself.

At selected pop-ups or collaborative events, official photography or filming may take place before or after the sound bath. You will be informed in advance and appearing in identifiable promotional content will always be optional.

Any photography consent will be requested separately and will not be a condition of attendance. Guests must not photograph or record another attendee without their permission.

How might I feel afterwards?

Everyone responds differently to a sound bath.

Some guests report feeling relaxed, rested or more present afterwards, while others simply appreciate having had time away from everyday demands.

There is no particular way you are expected to feel.

You may wish to sit up gradually, drink water and take a few quiet moments before returning to the rest of your day.

If you are driving, cycling or operating machinery, only begin your journey when you feel fully alert, comfortable and able to do so safely.

If you experience persistent, unusual or concerning symptoms, please seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Will I receive anything after the experience?

Selected experiences may include a complimentary product or sample from a carefully chosen partner brand.

Any gift is optional and does not form part of the sound bath itself.

Please read the product label, ingredients, allergen information and usage instructions before using or consuming it.

You are under no obligation to accept or use a gifted product. You may also receive relevant follow-up information connected with your booking. Promotional emails will only be sent where you have separately chosen to receive marketing communications.

Can I book a private sound bath?

Yes.

Private experiences can be arranged for individuals, couples, families, small groups, workplaces and meaningful gatherings.

The format will be shaped around the group, venue and purpose of the experience.

Please get in touch to discuss a private or bespoke booking.

Do you provide sound baths for businesses, retreats or events?

Yes.

Gather & Resonate offers bespoke experiences for workplaces, corporate wellbeing programmes, retreats, hotels, wellness events, private celebrations and carefully considered brand collaborations.

Residential and overseas retreats will be offered under separate retreat-specific booking terms.

Please get in touch to discuss an event or potential collaboration.

Are Gather & Resonate experiences insured?

Yes.

Gather & Resonate maintains appropriate public liability and professional indemnity insurance for the services provided, subject to the activities, territorial limits, terms and exclusions of the relevant policies.

A Gentle Reminder

There is no perfect way to experience a sound bath.

Some guests feel restful or sleepy, some remain quietly aware and others simply appreciate the opportunity to pause.

You are warmly invited to arrive with curiosity, leave expectations behind and allow the experience to unfold naturally.

I look forward to welcoming you.
